The Skins looked pretty damn good in their first game today, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I honestly had no idea how good Clinton Portis was (and if he was worth giving up Champ Bailey for) and the answer to that question is a resounding YES! Clinton ran for 149 yards (149 yards, people!) and helped set up 2 of the 3 successful field goals. All in all, pretty good. Not yet spectacular, though. They looked sloppy in the third quarter, especially during the play where Mark Brunell tripped over Cory Raymer and Ronde Barber (Tiki's brother) ran the intercepted ball in for a touchdown. That looked like the Redskins I know best, not together. But they pulled it out in the end and I'm happy.

Next week: Redskins vs. Giants. Oooo, a nice divisional battle.
